Useful Tips on Posture & Ergonomics

Do you know that by making small, easy changes to the way you move throughout the day, you can prevent injuries to your body that compromise your health?  As part of our ongoing commitment to patient education, we are developing a series of interactive tutorials to help you make the most of your health.

Choose an exercise 

Shoulder Roll

Mobilise and relax the tired muscles around the shoulders and shoulder blades after sitting for long periods of time. Repeat 20 times each in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. SHOW ME

Scapular Retraction

Begin with an exercise band wrapped on each open palm. Open your arms while keeping elbows tucked to your sides and maintaining an upright posture. When you've reached just past 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock, slowly release the tension by returning to the starting position. Repeat 2 to 3 times. SHOW ME
